A monopoly is the "Exclusive control by one group of the means of producing or selling a commodity or service." Once can monopolize at nearly any scale. Land-lorders monopolize individual houses (literally "lording" them) in order to extract usury.

Society should try to diffuse power to a reasonable extent. It is better for workers and democracy if there to be twelve car brands than one conglomerate like this one. But nevermind, I don't get the sense you have an open mind or think about others more than yourself.
