No worries, Berna, I hear you. In the case of my blog, I literally brace every time I see a photo of a 60+ white boomer because 99% of the time the comments are brutal and idiotic. Obviously there are good, progressive, democratic, selfless, men that age, but they seldom comment on my sort of articles.

The bloc I mention have certain traits. They're unbelievably low in empathy and appallingly high in privilege. We know for a fact that the majority vote Republican. On my articles, they scream "communism" and "socialism" at the first sight of democracy. And they can't imagine there's any place on earth that has better wellbeing outcomes for the bottom 90% than the good ol' US of A.
