On the flip side, it's very silly to think it's "fair" that people should be able to profit from housing bubbles either. I favor justice over graft.

Be careful not to manipulate words. Democratic reforms to create long-term housing affordability are not "government-controlled markets." That's socialism or communism, two extremes we'd like to avoid. Instead, we need the middle-ground of systemic, democratic, widest-spread fairness. Affordable shelter is an unconditional human right.
