That fact that you can't envision anyone making an interest-free loan gives you a rough idea of how indoctrined our society has become, Arthur!

My wife and I have made over 300 interest-free loans to developing-world entrepreneurs, ranging in size from $25 to $10,000+.

Why? Because the personal profit motive isn't anywhere near the biggest driver in human endeavor. But capitalists cannot fathom a world where the profit motive isn't God himself.

I'm advocating for an economy that bans interest. To encourage people to loan and invest, we'll need sound money that allows for zero inflation. In fact, if there's slight deflation in the currency, it actually becomes profitable to loan. People would grow longer-term mindsets instead of instant gratification.

I'd also like to make all banks not-for-profit utilities that serve the people instead of extraction devices for milking the contributor class.

Dream with me, brother!
