There is no reason for taxpayers to subsidize affordable housing when it is easily achievable by eliminating economic exploitation.

The truth that no landlord or property investor wants to here: When society bans interest and rent-seeking and builds sufficient supply, the vast majority of rent-serfs will be able to own for cheaper than their current rent vig.

Confiscation is not necessary. Tax for-profit land-lorders at 100% (both unearned profits and unearned capital gains) and they will quickly skitter off elsewhere.

We want to radically de-incentivize for-profit land-lording. We want to eliminate the monopolization of the human necessity of shelter.

Development is contributive and should be reasonably rewarded-- rent-seeking should not, because it's unproductive and parasitical.
