You're still missing it, Steve. There are absolutely real costs to managing any property. People who provide these services (ie non-usury not-for-profit shelter providers) should be rewarded for their real contribution to humanity. Plumbers, renovators, repairpeople, roofers, landscapers, etc. It's the usury piece -- extracted as above-cost rent and later capital gain -- that is undeserved and unsustainable.
